Conservation Fuel Bricks

Ingredients:

Paper, Straw, Cement, Water, Petroleum Coke (Pet Coke dust, supplied by coal merchant)

A three-sided box cardboard or wooden box 3ftx3ft (0.9144m)

One rotary mower

One large tub or plastic barrel

One bucket, standard size

One pair of rubber gloves

Method

1) Put five buckets of paper in box and mow to dust.

2) Put two buckets of straw in box and mow lightly 1" lengths (2.54cm)

3) Mix together and pour water all over in barrel.

4) Mix in quarter bucket of cement.

5) Mix in four buckets of Pet Coke.

6) If mix is not wet pour water over mix to slurry (Do not over water).

7) Press mix in hand making round balls (Wear the Gloves!)

8) Fuel must be left to dry out completely.

9) Do not burn fuel if wet because the fuel will "clinker" and the boiler will go out.

10) Straw is only used as a means of fusion
